Shriram Automall India Limited (SAMIL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Shriram Transport Finance Company (STFC), has signed an agreement with New Holland Fiat (India) Private Limited, a subsidiary of CNH Industrial. CNH is a global leader in capital goods equipment and the world’s leading manufacturer of tractors & agricultural equipment. As per the agreement, SAMIL will provide specialised services to New Holland authorised dealerships for disposal of pre-owned tractors and farm equipment.
The agreement was signed at New Holland Fiat India plant at Greater Noida. The New Holland India plant was established in 1998.
Sameer Malhotra, CEO of SAMIL, said that despite sluggish market condition in the Indian automobile industry during the year 2013, the tractor segment recorded close to 20pc growth. He said his company’s association with New Holland will facilitate Indian farmers to perform agricultural activities more effectively and efficiently.
SAMIL will provide an organised and transparent platform for disposal and acquisition of the farm equipment. “Catering to the pre-owned segment of Indian tractor industry, we are all set to change the game through a perfect understanding of dynamics within the domain,” he added.
